My grandmother, Lyn Frost, has been an advocate for preserving this beautiful field of flowers over the last few years. The field was being mowed prematurely, resulting in less flowers! Last year, it was promised that the city would wait a bit longer to mow in order for the seeds to fall so that we could see this field replenished. Thankfully, the city of Blackshear came through! From this porch, we have seen countless people throughout the years, families and friends alike, join in the field to capture some of the most beautiful photos. It makes all of us here on Jenkins Street SO happy to see, especially in times like these. So if you see us lurking on the porch, we’re just happy to see you out there! 🌼 🌼🌼Please share your photos of this little hidden beauty in Blackshear, GA in the comments to show the city our appreciation for the flowers!🌼🌼 The City of Blackshear The Blackshear Times Main Street Blackshear ... See more View on facebook 8 months ago Peaches & Dreams and Layton's Tux Shop To all of our customers, Prom girls, Brides, and everyone else who have been calling us, we have missed you so much! We are thinking about slowly opening back up in June, by appointments only in the beginning, with facemasks (mandatory), and only for the customer with one other person. Since we will be disinfecting all the counters, doorknobs, bathrooms etc. after each appointment, it is too difficult to have everyone coming in at one time. We will start making appointment in a couple of weeks for events in June. Tuxedos will only take 2 or 3 days for delivery, so we can wait a little longer to order those, we will be measuring from the back only, since it is impossible to take measurements from 6' away. Please remain safe, and stay indoors as much as possible, we don't want the numbers of infections to climb back up! It will be so good to see our customers again, thank you for staying loyal to us in these difficult times! ...
